Did you always want to know what an average day looks like in an international air and environmental technology company? No problem. You can gain valuable work experience with us.

It doesn’t matter whether it’s a holiday work placement, a normal work placement or as part of your dissertation – you have the opportunity of mastering exciting tasks and trying out a wide range of jobs here. Maybe you’ll even find the job that you want to earn your crust with later?

Are you a student or a pupil (as of year 10) who would like to gain experience in a technology job over the summer? You’ve come to the right place. Take your chance and apply online by the end of January at the latest.

Work placements, bachelor’s dissertations, master’s dissertations

Take a look behind the scenes at an international industrial company. Gain valuable experience in design, sales or system engineering and spend your work placement or dissertation period with people who are just as enthusiastic about technology.

Target groups:

  • Technical university: process engineering and mechanical engineering fields
  •  University of applied sciences work placements: with a duration of 3-6 months

From apprentice to production manager "I was always passionate about technology. My friends were therefore not surprised that I started my apprenticeship as a system fitter at Scheuch. During the apprenticeship, I quickly noticed that I have a knack for this work. I therefore also started to work on maintenance after I completed my apprenticeship. In 2019, I was promoted to team leader of a great team in the maintenance division and also named team leader of apprentice training at the same time. During this period, I was responsible for the new building for the apprentice workshop among other things. But that was by no means the end of the road. Since 2023, I have been production manager at the Aurolzmünster site. I'm excited to see what the future still holds for me at Scheuch."

 From Locksmith to System Administrator "My professional career began with a dual apprenticeship as a locksmith and technical draftsman. In 2008, I obtained my foreman certification in mechanical engineering/operational technology. In May 2021, I started my career at Scheuch as a CAD Inhouse Consultant. I am responsible for the administration of CAD, PDM, and CAM systems. Additionally, I lead in-house training sessions on AutoCAD to optimally prepare our apprentices for their professional development. Given my training as a locksmith and foreman, my primary focus is on the manufacturing-related aspects within our team. Implementing various projects at different locations particularly enriches my time at Scheuch. Outside of work, I have developed another passion: baking pizza. Since then, I have had the pleasure of regularly treating my family and friends to my homemade pizzas."

 Working and discovering new countries "I started working at Scheuch in 2012 in the office management area. Due to my tasks in the first few years, I had a lot to do with the Swedish branch and therefore also with the other Nordic countries. My sense of adventure made it easier to decide to apply for a position abroad and I was able to support the sales are in Kristianstad after intensive preparation. In addition to the interesting projects in the job, I have used my free time to visit and enjoy the country and the wonderful nature. In short: the ever-increasing workload, the expansion of the on-site team and the varied travelling have turned a 3-year expat placements into long-term employment."

 From HTL Graduate to Fan Specialist "A proactive application led me to Scheuch in 2018 as a graduate of HTL Ried. My start into professional life brought me into the exciting world of fan design. From the beginning, there was never a shortage of challenges, whether it was in the price calculation for custom fans or other exciting tasks. Interestingly, I also found these acquired skills extremely useful for my private house construction project – an unexpected bonus. The highlights of my career at Scheuch so far have undoubtedly been the design of the six largest fans in the company's history. These experiences have fostered not only my professional development but also my personal growth."

 Experience, growth and international adventure "I started my career at Scheuch in 2007 with a mechanical engineering apprenticeship. After several years in final filter production, I decided to take the vocational matriculation examination alongside my full-time job. As I was already in learning mode, I also started a foreman apprenticeship at the same time. I completed both apprenticeships successfully in 2017 and was ready for new experiences. I got the chance to work for a Scheuch group company in the USA for a year. It was a great and exciting time that affected me both professionally and personally. I am currently working as a master data engineer at Scheuch and am excited to see where my continuing journey will take me."

 A change in perspective leading to my dream job "My professional journey began after successfully graduating from HTL, where I gained valuable experience for over a decade in a small automation company. These experiences laid the foundation that I was later able to further develop at Scheuch. The birth of my first son changed my perspective, and in 2017, I found the challenges and the flexible working hours model I was looking for at Scheuch. Not to forget are my great colleagues, who complete the overall package. In 2021, I took over the management of the electrical engineering department. The subsequent leadership training broadened my horizons in many ways. Despite some challenges in recent years, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, supply issues, and staff turnover, stability has now returned to daily operations. This allows me to intensely pursue my personal development once again."
