Scheuch supports young volleyball players
The Scheuch Group is a long-standing partner of UVC McDonald's Ried and also supports the young talents of UVC McDonald's Ried.
As part of a Bundesliga match, the youth teams received training shirts with a logo. Thanks to the fantastic support of the innovative air and environmental technology company, the 1st youth training weekend was held at the Raiffeisen volleydome on March 8–9, 2024.
A perfectly planned training weekend for young and older volleyball players with the slogan of “learning from the professionals”.
The youth coordinator Nicole Mondl, who has been supporting the UVC McDonad´s Ried team since the beginning of January, carried out the training days together with the head coach Manuel Leitgeb and the first division Bundesliga team. Almost 40 primary school age children up to U20 took part. The programme included – according to the age groups – classic ball training, technical training and game situations, as well as a personal exchange with the UVC McDonald´s Ried Bundesliga players. This gave the young players the chance to learn directly from the professionals and be inspired by them face-to-face.
As well as the Bundesliga players, the head coach Manuel Lietgeb also provided valuable training tips.
The training days were rounded off by joint lunches and dinners. An absolutely fun highlight was the “King of the court” game on Friday evening together with the Bundesliga players. The umpire Roman Lutz said happily, “It is wonderful to watch the children and young people and see how enthusiastic they are. This is the first time we have carried out this type of youth training weekend. Once again, a huge thank you to the Scheuch Group. This was only possible due the support of our strong partner and long-standing sponsor Scheuch.”
