Scheuch launches partnership with FH Wels

Scheuch and Wels University of Applied Sciences join forces to drive innovation and sustainability. Students benefit from practical insights, while Scheuch focuses on fresh ideas and young talent.

The environmental technology company Scheuch has recently become a new partner of Wels University of Applied Sciences. The cooperation strengthens the Plant Engineering, Process Engineering Production and Bio- and Environmental Technology degree programs and at the same time strengthens the bridge between theory and practice.

A strong connection for innovation and practice

The cooperation between the future-oriented educational institution and Scheuch offers students valuable insights into the world of environmental technology. Bachelor's and Master's theses on practical topics, introductory meetings at the company and participation in graduation ceremonies create opportunities for students to get to know Scheuch as an attractive employer during their studies. The new office in Wels, in direct proximity to the university, also creates ideal conditions for intensive collaboration.

A win-win situation for everyone involved

The partnership aims to strengthen the link between theory and practice and to intensify cooperation between science, education and industry. A win-win situation is created through joint projects, the supervision of final theses and the exchange of ideas. The students benefit from real insights into the business world, while Scheuch receives innovative impulses for the further development of its technologies.

Challenge of our time

Stefan Scheuch, CEO of the Scheuch Group, emphasises the importance of this collaboration: ‘The sustainable treatment of our environment is one of the great challenges of our time. We need young people who take a critical look at the issue, pursue new approaches and are given the opportunity to work closely with industry during their studies. As a technology leader in environmental technology, we see it as our responsibility not only to develop solutions for clean air. We also want to specifically support the next generation by promoting high-quality technical education and its further development in order to train future experts who can make a decisive contribution to tackling climate change. In Wels University of Applied Sciences, we have found a partner that, like us, values innovation and environmental protection.’

Thomas Rainer, Managing Director of Scheuch GmbH, also emphasises: ‘With this partnership, we are creating the basis for combining theory and practice and building sustainable connections with the specialists of tomorrow.’

Shared passion

‘As a world-leading technology company for air pollution control, Scheuch shares our passion for innovation and sustainability. Through this partnership, we see a great opportunity to link our Plant Engineering, Process Engineering Production and Bio and Environmental Engineering degree programmes even more closely with industry.
Together with Scheuch, we not only want to promote talent, but also make an active contribution to the development of innovative solutions. This partnership shows how important the exchange between science and industry is for shaping this sustainable future.
It is a further step towards providing our students with practical training and making a significant contribution to a forward-looking industrial centre in Upper Austria. We look forward to realising this vision together with Scheuch GmbH.’
